See Glass or Debris in a Bike Lane? Here's How to Report It

Bike lanes only work when they are usable. The city will not fix what it does not know about, so reporting matters.

The City of Medford has one online portal for this: Solve a Problem.

What to report

  • Glass, gravel, or debris in a bike lane
  • Potholes or cracked pavement in or near a bike lane
  • Faded or missing bike lane paint and markings
  • Broken or knocked-down signs
  • Storm drain grates with slots parallel to the direction of travel (these can catch a wheel)
  • Branches or vegetation blocking the lane or sightlines
  • Burned-out street lights along bike routes
  • Signals that do not detect bikes

How to report

Online: medfordoregon.gov - Solve a Problem

By phone:

  • 541-774-2600 for streets, traffic, lights, storm drain, sewer, ADA, and sidewalks

Tips that help the city act faster

  1. Be specific about location. Cross streets, an address, or a dropped pin all help.
  2. Add a photo (the form allows this).
  3. Note the date and time you saw it.
  4. If you can, mention which direction of travel is affected.

Why this matters

If you ride, you see things drivers do not. Reporting them is one of the most direct things you can do.
